New lateral flow test kit collection points set up in Glasgow for COP26

Additional Covid lateral flow test kit collection points have been set up at transport hubs, places of worship and shops in Glasgow to ensure people who feel well can take precautionary Covid tests twice a week during COP26.

The locations are in addition to existing local test sites and participating pharmacies across the city.

Free Lateral Flow Covid Test Kits can be collected from:

  • The left luggage office at Buchanan Bus Station, 7.30am-11pm, seven days a week
  • The main concourse at Glasgow Central Station, 8am-6pm, seven days a week
  • Buchanan Galleries Shopping Centre, Buchanan Street, until 6pm daily, seven days a week
  • Reception at Glasgow Central Mosque, 1 Mosque Avenue, Glasgow, G5 9TA, seven days a week
  • Reception at Number 10 Hotel, 10 Queen’s Drive, Queen’s Park, 7am-10pm, seven days a week
  • Sundays between 9am and 2pm only, Glasgow Gurdwara, 37 Albert Drive, Pollokshields, G41 2PE.

Two mobile Covid testing buses for people without symptoms will be also be in the city. No appointments are needed to get tested or collect home test kits.

One will be in Sauchiehall Street (adjacent to Tesco Express at 236 Sauchiehall Street) from Monday November 1st to Friday November 12th, 10am-4pm.

The other bus will be at the Gallowgate entrance (Cineworld end) of the Forge Shopping Centre, 1221 Gallowgate, Parkhead, G31 4EB; Monday November 1st – Friday November 5th and Monday November 8th to Friday November 12, 10.15am- 3pm.
